We have 3 tomato plants, here in the north, with small green tomatoes just forming, the earliest expectation for ripening being July 4 th. On July 4 th, we plan to sit out on our patio to enjoy the outdoors and BBQ with our old fashioned charcoal grill.
We also have basil plants and oregano and pepper plant. I planted a marigold plants., I read that it helps keep away mosquitoes.
At my mom's house, I bought big planters and planted Lemon Balm, Tomato plant, Italian Parsley, and flowers, marigolds, Aslyum,( little blue flowers), geraniums,Zinnias. Makes for a pretty place to sit outside in the backyard and listen to all the sounds of nature, and watch the birds fly and swoop down onto the grass.
